Making a bequest

The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens manages, develops, and protects the state’s most significant botanical collection on behalf of all Tasmanians. With a mission to manage, protect the state’s botanical resources throughout the state, the Gardens is a not-for-profit charity that is firmly based in the Tasmanian community and depends on the support of individuals, businesses, and organisations to survive and continue its vital work.

A bequest is a very real way to make a positive difference to the future of the Gardens
A gift to the Gardens, whether during your lifetime or in your will, is a valuable contribution to the future, a gift that will bring lasting benefits of understanding, education, and conservation for future generations.

Substantial bequests may be devoted to particular projects or purposes, subject to discussion with the Director and the Board of Trustees.
Each year the Gardens host more than 400,000 visitors, encouraging everyone to appreciate and gain a better understanding of the vital role plants and specifically endemic Tasmanian species play in our lives.
The Gardens carry out work on site and throughout the state collecting, storing, and propagating specimens to ensure their continued existence.

One of the most valuable ways you can help the Gardens continue to manage and protect this vital resource is by leaving a bequest in your will.
