Guided or Self-Guided Walks

Whether you’re visiting from Tasmania, from interstate or overseas, a walk through the tranquil and beautiful Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens is enormously rewarding.

“When the world wearies and society fails to satisfy, there is always the garden. “ -Minnie Aumonier

The Gardens offer a variety of tours as detailed below, guided by experts who know and love the Gardens. You may also wish to go it alone with many options for walks available. More information is available on this website through our Features menu tab and Our Collections menu items. Personal help is also available at various times with our volunteers at the main entrance HUB. If further assistance is required then please ask at the Administration Building, through the hedge opposite the subantarctic house, or at the Gardens Shop. Please note that the administration building is closed on weekends and public holidays.
